The lock worked—but that was about it. It offered minimal protection and didn’t meet BS3621 British Standard lock.
What I Did
Lock Upgrade - I replaced it with a modern British Standard cylinder and ensured everything aligned correctly.

5. Wilton Property – Upgrading Locks Without Changing the Look
In Wilton, I was asked to upgrade the locks on a property where appearance mattered just as much as security.
The Challenge
The existing locks didn’t meet BS3621 British Standard lock, but the customer didn’t want to alter the door’s look.
The Approach
I selected a British Standard lock that:

- Delivered modern protection
- Required minimal alteration
Installation
All work was carried out cleanly and without damage to the door.
Final Outcome
The property now has modern, compliant security—without compromising its character.
